HDSDI and 3GSDI are current broadcast standards to transfer digital full HD video streams. A single coax cable can transfer 1080p streams up to 100m.
Low latency with less than one video frame is perfect to process images in real time.
HD-38 even can do reclocking and has a coax output to connect chains of grabbers. The  Datasheet shows more details .
